The insurance is suitable for a foreign national who is temporarily staying in Estonia on the basis of a visa or a temporary residence permit and who is specifically named in the insurance contract as the insured person.
Insurance cover is valid in the territory of the Republic of Estonia.
The insurance is valid during the period specified in the policy and begins on the start date of the insurance period, provided that the insurance premium has been paid by the due date.
In case of illness or exacerbation of a chronic disease, a waiting period may apply as stated in the policy. No waiting period applies in the case of accidents.
✓ medical treatment (including hospital care with prior approval);
✓ prescription medications prescribed by a doctor;
✓ rehabilitation and medical aids resulting from an accident (e.g., crutches, orthoses, wheelchair);
✓ emergency dental treatment;
✓ transportation costs to the nearest medical facility for necessary first aid;
✓ medical evacuation to the permanent country of residence (if medically indicated and with prior approval);
✓ in case of death, cremation and/or burial costs in Estonia, or repatriation of remains to the insured person’s permanent country of residence (with prior approval).
The sum insured is the maximum amount of our`s liability under one insurance agreement. The medical expenses insurance limit is the maximum amount of our`s liability per insured person per insurance periood. The insurance limits are the maximum limits of indemnification based on the coverages included within the medical expenses insurance limit and do not increase our`s maximum liability.
