BTA – the second most loved insurance brand the Baltics!
In the traditional study of the most loved brands jointly performed by advertising agency DDB Latvija, research company GfK Custom Research Baltic and business magazine Capital, BTA won first place in the insurance sector in Latvia and second place in the Baltics. BTA also achieved a remarkably high third place in the finance sector in Latvia, only surpassed by such strong banking brands as Swedbank and SEB.
For the eighth year the 50 most loved brands were identified in a roundup of the top most-loved brands. This year brands were judged on three image categories – uniqueness, quality and value for money. As noted by the business magazine Capital, insurers “Mostly compete at the top of brands in terms of value for money; however, in a situation where many people get to know insurance companies in their everyday life, service is becoming increasingly important. BTA has actively worked towards service innovations by offering its customers a (self-developed) mobile application for the first time in Latvia and has experienced strong growth this year, thus securing its position among competitors”. Clearly, this has yielded good results and customers have appreciated it, because BTA received the highest ratings in all categories – in uniqueness, quality and value for money.

We hope this is a sign that we are on the right path because we have focused a lot of our recent activities on customer convenience and building close relationships with customers: We have begun more active communication on social networks, developed a mobile application for customer support in everyday life situations, we provide services remotely, and also ensure a personal approach at all of our customer service centres. We continuously work on improving our existing services and developing new services. Therefore, we can say that we will continue to work to ensure that people associate the BTA brand with insurance services that meet their needs, providing high-quality service and interested, friendly communication.
This was the first time when the most loved brands were identified in all Baltics. Being company with Latvian origin, one of BTA’s priorities has been development of operations abroad, especially in Lithuania and Estonia, and it is therefore very important to us that we placed second in the top of Baltic insurance brands.
This year we also received international recognition from World Finance, one of the world's leading financial magazines, which recognized BTA as the Insurance Company of the Year for the Baltic States in 2011. World Finance analyzed finance companies by their innovativeness, originality and quality of services, as well as their contribution to business development and building relationships with customers. We are very pleased to be recognized on the Baltic scale.
