MTPL

When participating in road traffic, every owner of a vehicle needs Motor Vehicle Owners’ Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance or MTPL. The MTPL policy compensates losses that have been created for other individuals, for example, drivers of other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, passengers and their property because of the vehicle owner who has caused the traffic accident.

If you use your car only in the Baltic States, buy MTPL policy for a much better price. Buying the BTA MTPL policy on the Internet saves time and money because we offer a discount!

Motor third party liability insurance is a compulsory insurance in Estonia.
Every car registered in Estonian Traffic register must have an MTPL policy otherwise it is not allowed to participate in the traffic.

It is a third party liability insurance for vehicle holder. Insurance company compensates the material losses and medical costs in health care institutions to third parties (other car owners, cyclists, pedestrians and their proprety) who have suffered damages caused by the insured vehicle.
